Do you fit the kitchen as well as build the extension?
Yes. We can take care of the whole project, from the building work through to fitting your new kitchen, including the units, worktops, plumbing, electrics and tiling. How do we manage without a kitchen during the build?
We plan for it. The new extension is built before we break through, so your existing kitchen stays usable for much of the project. There will be a spell without a working kitchen while we make the switch, and we keep that as short as we can. Many families set up a temporary kitchen with a microwave and kettle, and we time things to help.
Will an open-plan kitchen make the house cold or noisy?
Not when it is built properly. We insulate to modern building regulations standards, fit quality glazing and doors, and can include underfloor heating to keep the space warm and comfortable year round. Open-plan living is sociable rather than noisy for most families, and if you prefer, we can design in a broken-plan layout with a partial divide to zone the space.
Is it worth extending the kitchen rather than just refitting it?
If your kitchen is simply tired, a refit may be enough. But if it is too small or too dark, no amount of new units will fix the space itself.
