What data we collect
We only collect data we need to respond to you and carry out our work:
- Contact & enquiry data you give us through our quote form, by phone, email or WhatsApp — such as your name, phone number, email address, property location and details of the work you are considering.
- Project data created while we prepare a quote or carry out a project (measurements, drawings, correspondence, invoices).
- Technical data collected automatically by our hosting for security and reliability, such as your IP address and browser type, held in standard server logs.
- Your cookie choice, stored on your own device so we remember your preference.
How and why we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote;
- plan, deliver and support your project;
- keep accounting, tax and warranty records as required by law;
- keep the website secure and working properly.
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are: consent (when you send us an enquiry), performance of a contract (when you become a customer), legal obligation (accounting and tax records), and our legitimate interests in running and securing our business.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only where necessary with trusted service providers who help us run our business — for example our website hosting and email providers — and where we are required to by law (for example HMRC or building control). These providers act on our instructions and are bound to protect your data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable follow-up period. Customer and financial records are kept for as long as the law requires (generally at least six years for tax purposes). After that, data is securely deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data; ask us to correct or erase it; restrict or object to how we use it; ask for a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email kev.constructltd@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.
